Ghaith Qamheiah (President) and Rudy Cronk (Vice President) chaired a presentation titled “Ontario Fire Code (OFC) – Part 9: Health Care Facility Retrofit & Life Safety Studies”. This presentation was given to the Hospital Fire Marshals Group during their quarterly meeting on March 20, 2018. Aimed towards hospitals, focused primarily on the requirements, compliance expectation and approaches brought upon by Part 9 of the OFC. This part of code applies to buildings that were in existence on February 11, 1987 and upgrading them through retrofit to meet the minimum performance requirements for life safety.
